ATLANTA WEDDING OFFICIANT
Atlanta wedding officiant and Interfaith minister Rev. Ryan NeuCollins provides affordable, customized weddings for all faiths, ethnicities, and sexualities in Atlanta and throughout NW Georgia. Couples who identify as “spiritual but not religious”, mixed-faith, mixed-race, and LGBTQ are welcome.
Each couple is provided with a wide range of options to express their unique beliefs and spirituality. These options extend from the very beginning of the ceremony to its end. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, I’ll research and find it for you. Couples are limited only by their imagination and their preferences!
I’ve been an Atlanta wedding minister for six years. In that time, I’ve officiated weddings with animals, robots, science ceremonies, tree plantings, and Hindu fire ceremonies. In addition, I’ve held weddings in chapels, gardens, private homes, vineyards, on mountain tops, and on the water. Both site and ceremony are dictated by your own vision!

My husband and I did not know who to get for our officiant/premarital counselor. Neither of us are very religious, but we are spiritual and wanted someone who could pick up our vibe for our ceremony. Rev Ryan did just that. I absolutely loved working with her. She is so kind and welcoming, we did our premarital sessions with her as well. We always left feeling good and like we had more tools in our tool belt. I highly recommend her. Our ceremony was very personal. We received so many compliments from guests about how great our ceremony was. Truly a wonderful experience with rev. Ryan

Rev. Ryan was the perfect wedding officiant for our wedding. We really weren’t sure what we were looking for beforehand, but she guided us every step of the way and had plenty of examples to choose from. We even did most of the planning long distance, and she was super accommodating and responsive. Her execution the day of was also flawless. She has a very genuine and bright presence that put both of us at ease and made all our guests smile.

Obviously pre-Covid, but Reverend Ryan was amazing! She was so friendly and flexible about making sure we got to include whatever was important to us. We had so many friends and relatives come up to us after the wedding and comment on how great she was!

She was far and away the best officiant we could have ever asked for!! She was always on time and very sweet to work with!! An amazing reader and performed the ceremony perfectly!! She read our love letters so that everyone could hear and left pauses for people to laugh while they were laughing at the funny words we had wrote in our letters!! She was very easy to build the ceremony plan and what all went into the final itinerary for the ceremony!!

We had a wonderful experience crafting a ceremony with her. Neither my partner nor I are religious, but we felt strongly that we wanted to create a meaningful personal ceremony. We had two meetings with her, and she gave us some great templates which we were able to modify and ended up with a ceremony that was perfect for us. Multiple people told us that our ceremony was the most moving wedding ceremony that they have participated in and that they loved it. We highly recommend her services.

Ryan NeuCollins was the officiant at our wedding this past November, and I could not be happier with her and her services. She was so thoughtful, professional, and kind throughout the whole experience. From beginning to end, she made sure that everything about our wedding was personalized to us and was what we wanted. She took the time to meet and get to know us and learn what was important to us. As a non-religious but spiritual couple, we knew that we didn’t want the traditional vows or structure, and she was exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend her!

PREMARITAL COUNSELING
The state of Georgia recommends six hours of premarital counseling, and as an experienced Atlanta wedding minister, so do I. If you decide to pursue this, I offer counseling on weekend mornings at my home.
My style of ministerial counseling incorporates the work of Gary Chapman, Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, the Prepare and Enrich System, and other methods I’ve found useful through the years. These systems emphasize communication and conflict resolution skills, but include much more.
The Prepare and Enrich system, which forms the bulk of my ministerial counseling, is rooted in the Systems Theory and the Couple and Family Strengths Model. It is prevention-oriented and based on over 500,000 couples from various ethnicities, family backgrounds, and religious/non-religious orientations. It profiles each person’s personality, as well as the couple’s relationship dynamics in multiple categories.
By the end of our premarital counseling sessions, partners will understand how to relate to each other on a more mature and rational level. They will also have practiced a proven model for resolving conflict that will enhance their marital satisfaction and success. (And this is important since 40-50% of marriages fail, and for those who have step-children, that figure skyrockets up to 75%.)
How much does it cost? The Prepare and Enrich test costs $35, and couples pay for it online. My own three sessions with you cost $115 per session, and each session lasts for approximately two hours.
WEDDING VENUES
If you are still in search of a wedding venue, there are many distinctive options, including Lanier Islands, The Swan House, the Callanwolde Art Institute mansion, and The Peachtree Club, but there are also many affordable options.
For instance, some couples have rented private rooms in restaurants or country clubs; some have rented bars; some have held ceremonies in their parents’ homes or backyards, and others have held them in national park shelters (typically between $50 – $200). It’s even possible to find beautiful homes on Airbnb if your guest list is small.
Herecomestheguide.com lists venues throughout Georgia at different price ranges and is a useful resource for couples who are still undecided.
Additionally, consider holding your wedding on Friday or Sunday instead of on Saturday, in a small town versus a large city, in the morning (for an affordable brunch offering), and in a space that allows you to provide your own wine and beer. Although many ministers may be hesitant to step outside worship venues, most non-ordained wedding officiants in Atlanta make their bread and butter through these types of ceremonies!
